This policy describes how UpiZone handles information when you visit the website or use the software platform. It should be read with the terms of service.
1. Information we may handle
Depending on how you use the service, information may include account and contact details; merchant profile details; the VPA you choose to configure; order amounts, references, statuses and timestamps; API and webhook configuration; support correspondence; subscription records; and technical logs such as device, browser, IP address, request and security events.
2. Payment data and funds
UpiZone does not receive or hold customer funds and does not access a merchant’s bank account to confirm transfers. Do not send us full bank credentials, UPI PINs, card numbers, passwords or other authentication secrets. A merchant is responsible for independently verifying payment in their own bank or UPI app. Information entered into an order or submitted as a payment reference may be processed as platform data.
3. Why we use information
We use information to provide and secure accounts, generate checkout details and maintain order records, deliver API and webhook functions requested by the merchant, manage subscriptions, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, respond to support requests, and meet legal obligations. We do not use this policy to promise that a transfer occurred or that a merchant’s decision was correct.
4. Sharing and service providers
We may share necessary information with infrastructure, hosting, email, security and other service providers supporting the platform; with a merchant’s own integration as directed by that merchant; when required by law or valid legal process; or to protect users, the service or others. Providers are expected to handle information for the services they perform. We do not sell personal information as a business model.
5. Retention and security
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, including account operation, audit, dispute handling, security and legal requirements, after which it may be deleted or de-identified where practicable. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
6. Your choices and requests
You may contact us to request access, correction or deletion of account information, subject to identity checks, operational needs and applicable law. Some records may need to be retained to operate the service, resolve disputes or comply with legal duties. You can also stop using the service and close your account.
7. Cookies and analytics
The merchant portal may use essential cookies or similar technologies for login sessions, security and user preferences. This public landing site does not require an account to browse. If non-essential analytics or tracking technologies are introduced, this policy and any required notices or choices will be updated.
8. Children and policy changes
The merchant service is intended for business users and is not designed for children. We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. The revised date at the top shows when the current version was posted.
